Youth Ministry

The youth ministry of FUMC is designed to be a safe place for all youth, 6th-12th grades, to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and to learn how to share that faith with others. Our youth group is very service oriented and you will find that we enjoy serving others through various missions and ministries.

Our youth gather on Saturday nights from 6-8 p.m. in the Youth Loft for fellowship, worship, games, and faith development through a variety of activities. All youth and their friends are welcome to join us on Saturday evenings and we encourage the participation of parents. Parental influence is vital to the success of our youth program and we ask parents to sign-up to provide weekly snacks and to serve as a youth sponsor aid at least two times throughout the school year.

• Youth Sponsor: Share in our ministry with our youth through your presence at weekly youth events and other youth activities that need an adult presence. Provide spiritual guidance and support to youth and they develop their faith in Jesus Christ.

• Youth Sunday School Teacher: Join a team of teachers to help lead discussion for our Jr. and Sr. High Sunday school classes on Sunday mornings.

• Parent Helper: Be an aid for the youth sponsors on Saturday evenings or other special events that require more adult involvement.

• Snack Supplier: Help provide snacks for the youth on Saturday evenings.

..
• Lock In Chaperone: Provide assistance at a youth lock-in. You can be present for the entire lock-in or you can help out for a block of time.

• Mission Trip Sponsor: Join us on a yearly mission trip by helping to provide transportation and sponsorship of the youth and their service to God. These missions could be day-long, weekend-long, or week-long.

• Youth Driver: Help us transport our youth for various events and ministries we are involved with. A clean driving record is necessary along with current auto insurance with liability.

• Youth Tutor: Join us in our new ministry of providing tutoring for the youth in our church and our community. Do you love to teach? Let us know!

• Youth Band: Our musically talented youth are starting a youth band and could use some adult guidance. Do you love music and youth? This is the place for you!
