Our Child Development Center (CDC) began in February of 2006 by parent volunteers who desired to see our ministry expand to the youngest in our faith family and who wanted to be able to provide quality childcare as parents participated in worship, studies, events, and meetings.

Currently, the CDC nursery employs staff to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental needs of all children.  Children in our care will develop a positive self-concept through activities that enhance social, creative, and spiritual awareness.  In order to enrich and engage our young children we offer monthly activities for all ages which include Bible stories, sharing Jesus' love, and many more exciting activities.  Caregivers will provide nurturing and responsive attention to each and every child.
All of our CDC workers have passed a background check and we always ensure the proper adult-to-child ratios.  Our desire is to gain the trust of children and families through the care we provide and to help children and their parents know that Jesus loves them!  We believe that "Each and every child is a gift from God and welcome to be here!"

For each service, we offer a Sunday curriculum.  We provide variations for older children up to five years old.  Every child is welcome to participate, but free play is always an option.

Please indicate "Child Care - yes" on the First United Methodist Church Building Use Form when reserving space for your events and functions.
